Cowspen (Short Sleeve)

Named for the Battle of Cowpens which became the turning point in the American reconquest of South Carolina from the British in the American Revolutionary War. It was part of a chain of events leading to Patriot victory at Yorktown. It was a rare win for American forces, and it slowed British efforts to invade North Carolina.
