If you live in DC and have to ride the Metro to work… and you are concealing; technically, you are breaking the laws. Listen in on why these four men are challenging the law.
It’s risky out there and everyone who wants to be self reliant and not become a victim, chooses to exercise their Second Amendment right and conceal a handgun on their person.
The difficulty lies when the place you are going for the day, let’s say work / office is in an area, a jurisdiction where it’s legal to concealed carry. Yes, within the final destination you are abiding by the laws. But, in order to get there, you have to break the law – by riding the Metro (DC train).
This week’s Fashion Friday is Wide leg vs. Skinny jeans.
Alot of fashion experts are saying the Skinny jeans trend is on the way out, but I gotta disagree! Are you giving up the tall boots and tucked in jean look?
Especially, for during the winter months when we’ve all have been waiting for the cooler weather to bring out our booties and tall boots. It’s just a great look!
And, it’s great for concealing self defense tools too.
Here’s the thing with how to wear skinny jeans or wide legged jeans (or pants).
In order to not look like you’ve lost a ton of weight or frumpy and sloppy when styling wide legged jeans or pants you should go smaller on top when the bottoms are so full.
It’s important not to be so baggy all over. You get what I’m saying, it’s about the relationship in regards to proportions. So a wide leg jean and a big full top is, well um, not going to be the most attractive outfit you could put together! Tighter fitting or even cropped tops make concealing a firearm at the waist a challenge.
The clothes will look like they are swallowing you. Yes, we want to be stylish. Here’s how you can wear the latest trend in Wide leg jeans and carry by going moderately wide.
This way you still have a looser fitting top which will keep your firearm from printing.
Sometimes it’s difficult for women to conceal carry. Watch Melissa Lee’s review of Incognito Wear IX’s Lion + Lamb womens’ concealment top, with SPECIAL GUEST MODEL Amy Dillon.

If you’re reading this; chances are you’re a gun owner or interested in becoming one and you are concerned about your safety, your right to keep and bear arms and if this right will be there for your children’s children.
You’ve hear the saying “The squeaky wheel gets the oil”, right? Well, this is how you can help others make their voices louder so we can protect our God given rights, including the Right to KEEP and bear arms! Won’t you help and take some action?
I’m guessing you love this country, and having the right to defend yourself, your property and your life, right? The Second Amendment is for everyone, but not everyone wants you to have freedom. It’s under attack.
As we celebrate some major events this week, Martin Luther King day(who spoke about our founding principals “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” and the hope that we “live in a nation where …we won’t be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”).
We’ve all seen a lot of stuff lately that we never thought c/would – especially, here in the Land of the Free – America. We are only free if we defend our founding principals.
Our First and Second Amendments are well, the most important – they support all the others.
Let us remember we’re all in this together. We should come together and become the glue ourselves in supporting these organizations who back us and the right to choose how we defend our lives, property, and loved ones.
Here’s some great organizations you can join forces with to create a louder voice for defending our Second Amendment.
National Shooting Sports Foundation This is the Firearm industry trade association and who sponsors the coveted “Shot Show” trade show every year where the newest gear, firearms and accessory items are on display for the first time to the members for the industry.
The Second Amendment Foundation is “dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms.” They are involved in many legal case across the US defending the right to bear arms.
Let’s all do our part in calling our representatives and making our voices heard. The old saying “the squeaky wheel gets the oil” can’t be truer than the times we’re living in. We must make some noise or the risk of our great nation and the values we treasure will be a memory.

Here’s a sample letter:excepts taken from open letter to all Americans from a “Team Sergeant”
To my elected Representative,
The purpose of the Second Amendment is to secure our ability to oppose enemies foreign and domestic, a guarantee against disorder and tyranny. The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them.’
A citizen’s right to keep and bear arms for personal defense unconnected with service in a militia has been reaffirmed in the U.S. Supreme Court decision (District of Columbia, et al. v Heller, 2008). The Court Justice Scalia wrote in the majority opinion: “The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.”
Throughout history, disarming the populace has always preceded tyrants’ accession of power. Hitler, Stalin, and Mao all disarmed their citizens prior to installing their murderous regimes. At the beginning of our own nation’s revolution, one of the first moves made by the British government was an attempt to disarm our citizens. When our Founding Fathers ensured that the 2nd Amendment was made a part of our Constitution, they were not just wasting ink. They were acting to ensure our present security was never forcibly endangered by tyrants, foreign or domestic.
But, is the problem really guns? It is important that we recognize that this is not a gun control problem; it is a complex sociological problem often resulting in malice and evil intent of the individual(s) choosing to use a tool such as a firearm to inflict harm and damage. Did we outlaw cars to combat drunk driving? Focus must be clear on the individual’s action and behavior; not the tool.
Consider domestic violence victims where the firearm is a great equalizer. The choice to defend oneself with a firearm is guaranteed by the Second Amendment. Every victim is alone in an attack. How long before help arrives, if it arrives at all or in a timely manner? The victimized individual should be able to defend themselves by whatever means possible.
This is our country; these are our rights. You swore to uphold them and defend The Constitution of the United States of America and I hired you to represent me. I urge you to support and vote for all Pro Second Amendment bill and object to any bill that infringes on these rights.
Fondly,
