OMG! Did you see this?!
The United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) is a monthly magazine geared toward the average American interested in guns. I say the “average American” wants to know more about guns – and gun safety. The magazine offers a whole lot more! – like information regarding ways to concealed carry, education, training, new products (in the industry), and gun related products. There’s always a big focus on being a responsible gun owner – which includes having self defense insurance.
According to John Lott at the Crime Prevention Research Center; “There are now over 16.3 million permit holders, a record 1.83 million increase in permits since last July. Nationwide, 6.5% adults have a concealed handgun permit. Outside of California and New York, 8 percent of adults have a permit.
Permits for women and blacks are increasing much faster than they are for men and whites”.
The USCCA recognized these growing statistics and saw a need for information geared specifically for women. After all, painting a gun pink doesn’t make it right for a woman (shooter).
Last year (Jan. 2017), they (USCCA) launched it’s own Women’s Concealed Carry Magazine. A unique section published quarterly within it’s main monthly magazine devoted just to us women! Whoo Hoo!
Imagine my surprise to see my company on a full page layout in the April Edition of USCCA CONCEALED CARRY MAGAZINE! What an honor! I’m specially proud and honored to be featured. Thank you, USCCA! I am just an average American myself who found out that shooting guns can be a lot of fun and a great way to release stress.
It’s an activity I can do with my husband and children. It’s a great way to get outdoors as well. You may even want to try something new like skeet – which was my first exposure to guns. Just be warned, it can cause an addiction.
Learning about guns and having a healthy respect of them is a wise decision. Learning about gun safety is a top priority! Learning about concealed carry, lead me to starting Incognito Wear IX.
Too many times had I been in places or instances where I became concerned about about my safety… and what was I going to do if…
…”IF”…. is the very reason so many women are choosing to learn about firearms…and to concealed carry. However, there are stages of this growth. I found that taking some basic pistol classes and becoming more familiar with my gun, helped me develop confidence in shooting and getting on target more consistently; I began to see the benefit of having this tool on me for those times when things don’t feel right.
So, I stared into my closet and wondered: HOW do you conceal a firearm?
What works for men – don’t work for us. We are different. It was this experience of trying to find something to wear that wouldn’t print that I realized this is why many women who do carry a gun do so in a purse (rather than on body carry). Do you know of any woman’s pant pocket that’s deep enough to put a gun in it? This is a unique challenge for women. What a dilemma – to dress fashionably and carry a gun; confidently concealed.
Incognito Wear IX wants to solve this problem for you too!
Its wonderful to be featured in “Girl Gear”!
It’s great to have an idea to solve a problem and that people “get it”.
Here’s a product that you can look great in; it’s fashionable without letting anyone know your packing heat.
Experts agree to carry on body is the best way to protect yourself. And, wouldn’t it be great if you could get to your gun without having to partially undress… exposing your bare essentials? And, do all that with using just one hand!
All this is to empower you; for your protection to Never be a victim because of style.
However, there is one other element to concealed carry. Perhaps one, that many overlook. That of the rare possibility that you might actually have to draw and fire your weapon. That’s why it’s important to not only carry a gun; your 2nd Amendment right, but to make sure your “other rights” are protected as well. What happens after the shot…
I couldn’t be more honored to say we’re now an Affiliate Partner with USCCA! We now have 2 ways to keep you safe!
